Oculus Experiment Puts Lag In Real Life

A internet provider put together an experiment to target gamers and lag. The experiment is simple, make Oculus “stream” real life from a camera, but adjust the delay a bit to make what you see a bit behind what is actually happening. This is how lag works in games. Something happens, but you can’t react to it just yet as your screen doesn’t show it.

The first video is from the view of the camera, the second is a view from third person. Both are rather funny!

It is worth noting that Oculus was not lagging already, they purposely set the delay themselves. Something else worth noting? 1000MBP/S! The fastest connection we have in my area is 20! And it costs almost a hundred bucks to get it, on a good day…..
