The upcoming Predator game that pits you and your friends against one another has a swanky new trailer and a release date to mark down!
It’s only been a couple months since we learned about Predator: Hunting Grounds, but this morning’s State of Play offered up not only a new trailer, but a release date as well. The game is a multiplayer title that puts you in the role of the iconic Predator, or one of four squad mates trying to take it down.
It’s kind of like the recent Friday the 13th game that released, or even Turtle Rock Studio’s Evolve. It’s a neat twist on multiplayer gaming, that seems perfectly suited for something like the Predator franchise:
I think my favorite thing so far is that we’ll get different classes of Predators to play around with in the game as well. Could make for some fun “cameos” for diehard fans of the various Lore, while allowing some cool new opportunities as well. Namely, this new female Predator looks all kinds of badass.
“When we first came up with what this game would be, I knew we had to create a world where this ultimate female warrior would exist too,” said Zombie Studios project lead and game designer Jared Gerritzen. “We had fun imagining her back-story which helped us create a fierce warrior that any gamer will have fun playing. She is agile, fast, and relentless. She is a huntress without fear and she thrives in the hunt. In the trailer we see her with a weapon that IllFonic created, the Yautja Bow.”
While I’m not big on multiplayer games personally, time is always my enemy when it comes to gaming, I love the Predator series and eager to get some hands on time with Hunting Grounds. Will you be diving into the game on April 24, 2020?
