Gadget Review: KontrolFreeks FPS Freek Phantom Analog Stick Adapters for the PS4

As far as console FPS multiplayer games go, Call of Duty is king, and the FPS Freek Phantom for the PS4 is designed with that kind of game in mind. The skull designs on the thumbsticks are a constant reminder that COD is just a disc swap away. I did try them out on Call of Duty: Ghosts, but my multiplayer game of choice for the PS4 right now is Battlefield 4.

In the Battlefield series I’ve always been very good at holding my own….I’m not tooting my own horn here (yes, I am—I lied). I’m not too shabby flying around in a helicopter cutting enemy troops down or reviving my fallen comrades in the thick of battle. When it comes to great ideas for taking a base or keeping everyone alive, I’m your guy. My biggest weakness has always been CQC (close quarter combat). For some crazy reason unbeknownst to me, I always aim for the chest or even worse, miss them entirely. Impressive, I know. After spending two weeks with a pair of FPS Freek Phantoms. I can honestly say that my CQC playing has improved substantially, as well as in other areas of game play. I seem to be able to track headshots much quicker and the extra 40% in my range of motion has helped my aiming in vehicles as well.

Is it worth the investment? Absolutely. Something that I never thought would make a difference and would be more of a hindrance has turned out to be something that I can’t imagine not using now and in the future. KontrolFreeks has developed a solid product that will give you a gaming advantage and enhance gameplay to a higher level. My review in a nut shell is if you are a FPS fan, then buy yourself a pair of these bad boys.
