Nintendo is hosting the Nintendo Direct conference today and a big announcement coming from the event is the introduction of SNES titles hitting the New 3DS virtual console! The titles were already on WiiU, but they are finally making their way over to 3DS.
Starting today you can purchase F-Zero, Pilotwings, and Super Mario World.
There will be more titles releasing over the coming weeks which include:
- Mario Kart (March 24)
- Earthbound (March 24)
- Donkey Kong Country (March 24)
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (April 14)
- Super Metroid (April 14)
- Donkey Kong Country 2 (April 14)
Nintendo noted that all games will include a “perfect pixel” mode which allows them to look just like the classes, but within the 3DS screens. There is no hint of rather or not other screen modes will be ready.
NOTE: It was mentioned by Nintendo that SNES titles will only be for “new 3DS” systems.
