Sony Has Purchased Insomniac Games, More Exclusives Coming

Yesterday, it officially announced that Insomniac Games has been acquired by Sony Interactive Entertainment. This came as a welcomed announcement for all Playstation fan, especially after the huge success of Insomniac’s recent title Marvel’s Spider-Man that sold a total of 13.2 million copies worldwide!

The studio is said to be also working on new IP’s and more games from the past, for the future. Games like Ratchet and Clank, Unannounced Marvel titles, and more will probably take the for front, but there is one series I want to see return from the ashes…Resistance: Fall of Man.

In Resistance you play Sgt. Nathan Hale, the Chimera ( invading aliens ) have taken over the globe and you must stop. Hale is one of many super enhanced soliders with the Chimera genes, this gene has helped the soliders fight more like their enemies and have a hand up in battle.

This was one of the best series from Insomniac Games and I would really love to see this series return as a continuation or a relaunch of the series. Below, Shawn Layden (Chairman of SIE) was quoted talked about the purchase of the studio and what it means for the future of Playstation.
