Sports Story Still Lives and Hits Nintendo Switch Next Month

During this morning’s Indie World Showcase, a new look at Sports Story was revealed, including a December release date!

It’s been a WHILE since we’ve heard anything about Sports Story, the sports RPG that serves as a follow-up to the surprise hit, Golf Story. It was announced back in 2019 and since then…it’s been silent. Having missed out on mentions in multiple showcases, many were beginning to think it had been quietly cancelled.

Today, however, the new Indie World Showcase has revealed that not only is the game alive and well, but we’ll be playing it REALLY soon.

In this all-out sporting RPG, you’ll rise through the ranks of the sports world and prove your prowess on the golf course, tennis court and football pitch. By raising your sporting rank you’ll unlock even more disciplines, including BMX, volleyball, cricket and more. But the game isn’t just about sports – hop on a train or helicopter to explore dungeons, abandoned ruins and the mysterious Wildlands, or kick back at the mall with its daily attractions, specialty sports stores and minigames.

Still no specific release date, but Sidebar Games promises Sports Story will hit Nintendo Switch in December (next month)!
