Justin Roiland‘s first game to come out of Squanch Games is a new VR game that feels like it’s in the same universe as Trover Saves the Universe and the show that made him famous, Rick and Morty. Dr. Splorchy Presents: Space Heroes looks like the VR epic we’ve been waiting for. Don’t believe me, take a look at the crazy fun trailer!
Who doesn’t want a game with a character that has “Meatball Diarrhea”?
Dr. Splorchy’s game will be entirely VR, unlike Trover’s which will be both VR and non-VR, and will be available on Monday, July 23, on Google Play for Google Daydream. However, if you’re at San Diego Comic-Con and you’d like to get in on the fun, Squanch Games has set up pop-up playtest booths at the Tin Roof 401 G St, San Diego, CA 92101 on the following days:
– Thursday, 7/19 from 2-4p and 5-7p (PST)
– Friday, 7/20: 2-4p and 5-7p (PST)**
– Saturday, 7/21: 2-4p and 5-7p (PST)**
If you attend the event, you can win a Justin Roiland-signed picture of the glamorous Dr. Splorchy, as seen below!
Finally, included in the Squanch PR email is something they’ve quickly become known for, they’ve released a delightful original comic for Dr. Splorchy Presents Space Heroes, ahead of its July 23, 2018 release date on Google Daydream! Enjoy!
