Following an unfortunate leak, EA has officially announced a new Star Wars game, Star Wars Squadrons, promising a full trailer next week!
We’ve known a new Star Wars game was in the works over at EA and Motive. We even got a quick hint about what it would be when Project Maverick art leaked out on the PlayStation store. This morning, ANOTHER leak happened (this time on the Xbox Store) which revealed the game’s full title ahead of a reveal that was supposed to happen next week:
As you can probably guess from the art, Star Wars Squadrons is a new flight sim game that will allow players to hop into iconic space vehicles and battle it out! In short, it’s exactly the kind of game I’ve been wanting since EA took the license back in 2013. EA responded to the leak by making the announcement official:

I don’t know all the details, but I’ve heard the game will feature a short single-player campaign while the meat and potatoes of the game will put the focus on multiplayer action. It’ll be on the PlayStation and Xbox consoles and supposed to launch later this Fall. Thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer for more details as we’ll see a trailer this Monday!
What do you hope to see most out of Star Wars Squadrons?
