State of Play Roundup: Death Stranding Director’s Cut, KNY, Sifu, Deathloop and more

Sony held a State of Play today that showcased a number of third-party and indie games.

Here’s a look at what we got a peek at:

Quill is back in Moss Book II and heading to PlayStation VR. Developers said the story picks up where the first game left off and Quill will be joined by both new allies and old friends as she works to save the world from a great unmaking.

Early Access for the cooperative multiplayer shooter Arcadegeddon dropped today on PC and PlayStation 5 alongside the first look trailer.

Developers for Tribes of Midgard dove into the plans for Season One including a look at the new rune system and quest saga.

Players leanred that F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch is releasing on Sept. 7.

Hunter’s Arena: Legends is a cross between a fighting game and battle royale where gamers will play as hunters to fight demons and other online hunters in order to survive. It’ll release on PlayStation consoles through PlayStation Plus next month and on PC on August 3.

Players got a peek at the gameplay for Sifu, a third person action game featuring hand-to-hand combat. It’ll head to PlayStation in early 2022.

Jett: The Far Shore is an exploratory action-adventure game set in a sci-fi cosmos that is set to launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year.

 

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is a video game adaptation of the hit anime series that will launch on PlayStation consoles on October 15. The game release coincides with the rumored timeframe for the highly anticipated second season of the show to air.

Lost Judgement is the sequel to the legal thrilled Judgement. Lost Judgement is set to release on Septemmber 24 on PlayStation consoles.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut is a remastered version for the PS5 that includes new battles, new story missions, advanced combat with upgraded melee, a maser gun, a mounted machine gun and a firing range for practice. Additional delivery support was announced including a support skeleton, a jump ramp, a catapult and more.

Bethesda and Arkane developers did a deep dive on Deathloop which releases on September 14 on PlayStation 5 and PC.
