XSEED and Nintendo are continuing to remake legacy Harvest Moon games under the Story of Seasons banner.
Most recently we saw Friends of Mineral Town and now A Wonderful Life getting remakes for the Nintendo Switch. Developers said returning fans will find some new updates coming to the remake including some changes to the game’s farming features.
XSeed and Marvelous lost the rights to the name “Harvest Moon,” the English name for the Bokujō Monogatari series. Natsume retained rights to the name and has been releasing games under the Harvest Moon banner sans-Marvelous/XSeed for almost 10 years. Marvelous and XSeed released the first Story of Seasons-branded Harvest Moon game in 2014.
