The Creator of ‘Dead Space’ Debuts Terrifying First Trailer for ‘The Callisto Protocol’

Back in 2008, Glen Schofield was responsible for releasing one of the scariest games in gaming history, Dead Space. Now, 12 years later he’s back to haunt our dreams as the head of a new studio, Striking Distance Studios. At The Game Awards, he and his team of 150 announced the debut game for their studio, a terrifying relative of Dead Space. This is The Callisto Protocol.

Admittedly, I’m a wimp when it comes to horror games. So, The Callisto Protocol looks like a whole lot of “nope”. That said, you can’t deny how sweet this game looks, even if it will inevitably put me in the fetal position.

The Callisto Protocol is a story-driven, single-player survival game launching in 2022 on PC and consoles. Stay tuned for more.
