The DioField Chronicle Gets New Trailer and September Release Date

Square Enix has revealed a new trailer for their upcoming tactical RPG, The DioField Chronicle, which also gives players a release date!

The DioField Chronicle will immerse players “in an epic tale of war and honor with intense real-time tactical battles,” the company said in a press release. It releases on September 22 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Square Enix said that players will experiences a new, strategic, real-time battle system known as Real Time Tactical Battle (RTTB). The new battle system “is further enhanced with a gritty and immersive storyline that is crafted by a skilled and experienced development team featuring unique character designs by Taiki (Lord of Vermilion III, IV), concept art by Isamu Kamikokuryo (FINAL FANTASY XII, FINAL FANTASY XIII) and beautifully orchestrated music by world-renowned composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell, known best for their work on Game of Thrones,” Square Enix said.

A demo of The DioField Chronicle will release on August 10. Save data will transfer over to the full game at launch.

A Digital Deluxe version of the game will give players Knight’s Spear weapon and Mystical Ring accessory and digital versions of The DioField Chronicle soundtrack and Digital Artbook.

Players who pre-order the standard and digital deluxe versions of the game will get the Rhopasto Knife (in an exclusive color) and Recruit’s Bangle for use in the main game.

The Square Enix store also has a limited number of Collector’s Editions available that include The DioField Chronicle Board Game and a Four Pins Set.
