The Lord of the Seven Seas is Officially Coming to Soul Calibur VI!

It has been officially announced that Cervantes is joining the Stage of History in SOULCALIBUR VI! The Evil pirate is back again with Acheron and Nirvana at his sides, but man has Cervantes changed! As most of you know, Cervantes was the wielder of Soul Edge one before andhe looks to be looking for his long lost love once again. As some of you can see as well, Cervantes has changed a lot since Soul Calibur V. Here is a bit of backstory provided by Bandai Namco:

After his defeat, Nightmare comes across Cervantes’s remains, but left without noticing the small glimmer of light emitting from his body. The Soul Edge had once again set the terrible wheels of fate moving and brought Cervantes back from the dead. After his resurrection, Cervantes now walks grinning through a sea of corpses, claiming countless souls and leaving desolation and destruction in his wake. His final aim is clear: to once again to make Soul Edge his own.

Now that is a great backstory to bring Cervantes back in to the Tale of Souls! I am very excited to play as the Lord of the Seven Seas and all the other character coming to Soul Calibur 6! Check out the trailer below and check back here for more news and our review of the game!

Cervantes is a bad man in every sense of the term. Wielding dual swords – Acheron which he plundered from its former owner, and Nirvana, a dagger whose hilt houses a pistol – Cervantes is simply deadly with these blades, especially when he rushes opponents, knocks them down, or launches them in the air in order to deal hard-hitting combos for maximum destruction and pain. All this power is not without its drawbacks as Cervantes is cursed to pursue Soul Edge for eternity, drawn to the sword’s power, his life intertwined with the fate of the cursed blade.
