The Pokemon Nintendo Direct is Coming Very Soon Along With Many Special Events

At 7am (PST) on Friday, February 26, 2016, Nintendo will hold a Nintendo Direct presentation.  The company’s big news program promises to give us some huge Pokemon news, during the event. Could this be the reveal of a new game for the 3DS? Perhaps they could be working on something even bigger for their mysterious Nintendo NX. Good thing is, we only have a couple days until we find out.  Fans can watch with the world right here on the Nintendo Direct Link!

That’s not all, though.  The very next day will feature a bevy of events in honor of Pokemon’s accomplishment!

  • At 10:00 a.m. (PST), Twitch is hosting a huge Pokemon event, in which, fans can tune in to watch Pokémon discussion, gameplay, and other activities.
  • At 6:00 p.m. (PST), Twitch will kick off an animation marathon for 24 hours that will include movies, favorite episodes, and animation specials around the clock until 6:00 p.m. (PST) on Sunday.
  • For anyone lucky enough to be in NYC, fans will be able to go to the Nintendo NY store from Noon to 3pm (EST) to participate in special Pokémon-themed activities and even take a photo with Pikachu.
  • Retailers are also getting into the mix as Toys R Us will be giving out special foil Pokémon TCG cards featuring Pikachu and Magikarp from the Pokémon TCG: Generations expansion, a Pokémon activity book, and a poster of the original 151 Pokémon. A Generations-themed binder will also be available.
  • Finally, if you buy a Pokemon product at Gamestop you’ll receive a mythical Pokemon poster!

You’re going to have to hit the stores pretty quickly as Nintendo believes supplies won’t last long.  What you won’t have to worry about is the availability of Nintendo’s new Photo Booth app, which launches today on the app store on itunes.  You can see just some of what you’ll be able to do with the app below.

Nintendo says that the app will be available on android soon.

That’s quite a lot of celebrating Nintendo has in store for one of their biggest franchises.  Of course, we’re pretty sure the biggest gift to us will be during this Friday’s Nintendo Direct.  If you can’t watch it due to that pesky thing called work, we got you covered with any breaking news coming out of the event.
