Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Get a Gorgeous Remake This September

This morning brings word that the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games are getting remade with impressive visuals, new challenges, and more!

I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am about this. While the Tony Hawk Pro Skating series has had a number of entries over the years, it hasn’t had the best of luck in recent times. Attempts to recapture the magic fell incredibly short. Hell, even the first attempt at HD versions of the original games weren’t all the great.

Even so, there’s something about this new remake bundle that seems to be hitting all the right notes. These are full remakes of the first two games, and they look really impressive. More than just visual upgrades, there are quality of life updates to the gameplay, new challenges, and online multiplayer.

Of course, new tricks not features in the original games will be coming as well, plus gamers will be able to choose between the classic control scheme and the newer one. Even better, Create-a-Park and Create-a-Skater modes will also be making a return!

In all, this new remake looks to be the definitive Tony Hawk Pro Skater experience that many fans have been hoping for. Combining new experiences with the heavy dose of nostalgia, it looks mighty impressive so far.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 arrives on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PCs on September 4, 2020.
