Two ‘Famicom Detective Club’ Games are Coming to Nintendo Switch

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo revealed that some old-school detective games are coming to the Nintendo Switch this May.

Nintendo announced during today’s Nintendo Direct that two detective games, Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir, and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind, will be making their North American debut on the Nintendo Switch on May 14, 2021.

These Famicom Detective Club games were originally released in the late 1980s and operated via text commands. Both games have been remastered for the Nintendo Switch and optimized for English-language gamers.

In The Missing Heir, players will solve a murder mystery in a haunted village involving a wealthy family, all while dealing with their own amnesia. Meanwhile in The Girl Who Stands Behind, players will head to a Japanese school to investigate a supernatural rumor that surrounds the mysterious death of a student.

You can pre-order both Famicom Detective Club games now. Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind will release for the Nintendo Switch on May 14, 2021.
