Two New Apex Legends Season 2 Trailers Show Drastic Changes to King’s Canyon

Respawn spent most of EA Play 2019 teasing all of the changes that were coming to Season 2 of Apex Legends. Now, they’re ready to show you. Here are the launch and gameplay trailers for Apex Legends Season 2

For most of this year, Apex Legends players have enjoyed their time in the rugged, vast environment of this battle royale arena. In Season 2, that terrain is about change, drastically, and the launch trailer explains why.

Who is this mysterious villain that’s causing all this havoc? Why are they terrorizing the Apex Legends arena and the creatures that surround it? I suppose those are questions that will be answered in time, but in the meantime check out how the gameplay has changed, thanks to this well-hidden villain.

Apex Legends Season 2 will launch on July 2, 2019 (Tuesday) and see a bevy of changes that don’t just affect the environment. Battle Charge will introduce us to the newest Legend, revealed at EA Play 2019, the beloved genius Natalie “Wattson” Paquette. Furthermore, Season 2 is also debuting a ranked mode, a new Battle Pass full of rewards, unique skins and challenges, and finally, the highly-anticipated L-STAR machine gun which packs a punch for players looking for a hefty weapon.

Oh, and dinosaurs will be on the prowl, guarding caches, and stomping on foes. So, you better be ready for anything. Plus, skydiving emotes!

Since Apex Legends debuted, earlier this year, there haven’t been this many changes to the game. Season 1 was just an avenue to release more skins but it was more of the same. Fans started to become jaded with the repetitive gameplay and seemingly impossible progression scale. Despite that, Respawn decided to take a slower approach, in an effort to consider the employees of their studio. That, alone, should be commended.

In a few days we’ll find out if it was all worth the wait. Apex Legends Season 2 – Battle Charge arrives on July 2, 2019!
