When you get home and sit in your comfy game chair, tonight, to play your favorite game, a free trial will be sitting in your marketplace. However, this isn’t just any average free trial. This is for Ubisoft‘s South Park sequel, South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
Ubisoft is giving players the opportunity to play the first hour of the game for free on Xbox One and Playstation 4. Once that hour is up, it’ll be up to the gamer to figure out if they want to continue with the story or not. If the game is purchased, the adventure will continue where they left off, as all data will have been saved from the trial. It’s a nice little sample for fans who are either on the fence or haven’t experienced Ubisoft’s South Park adventures before.
If your thought is, “Well, I haven’t played the first game so I won’t know what’s going on.” that’s ok. In actuality, The Fractured But Whole and The Stick of Truth don’t have a whole lot to do with each other, at all. Although, if you’re still set in your ways, purchasing The Fractured But Whole, at your local retailer, will include The Stick of Truth. The answer to your question is, “Yes, Ubisoft is trying to give you 0 excuse to play their South Park game”.
Personally, I think every South Park fan and people with thick skin should play this game. The jokes are just as hilarious and shocking as they are in the show and the gameplay is addictingly fun. You can read more about it in our official review.
The Free Trial for South Park: The Fractured But Whole is available now on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
