Video Game History Foundation and Limited Run Games Charity Auction Ends Sunday

The Video Game History Foundation and Limited Run Games are working together to bring gamers a Charity Auction that will include various one of a kind development items from the video game history.

The items are up for auction through Sunday.

“We want to make the world a better place for video game history. That means we do a lot of things, like finding and preserving rare materials, resurrecting lost games and hardware from source code, running the first dedicated video game research library, creating pop-up museums, advocating for better industry-wide archiving practices, and more,” Co-Directors Frank Cifaldi and Kelsey Lewin said in a press release. “Our friends at Limited Run Games are supporting us this year by auctioning off some incredible items, like one of a kind game production proofs, autographed cover sheets, and test discs! The auction runs until December 20th, and every dollar goes to support The Video Game History Foundation!”

The foundation also runs The Video Game Source Project and hosts the Video Game History Hour where Cifaldi and Lewin highlight video game history weekly.

“There’s a lot to do when it comes to preserving the history of this industry, and we couldn’t do it without you,” Cifaldi and Lewin said. “Video games matter. Let’s save their history together!”
