Virtual Quakecon 2021 Set for August 19-21

Organizers announced this morning that Quakecon 2021 will takes place as a virtual show August 19-21.

“We can’t wait to get back to Dallas with our QuakeCon family, but for the continued safety of our staff, the volunteers, and the community, this year’s QuakeCon will once again be a digital-only event,” organizers said in a statement on social media. “We’ll have all the Peace, Love, and Rockets – remotely – August 19-21.”

More details about the show will be revealed as the event gets closer.

Quakecon was a virtual show last year following a long string of show cancellations or moves to a digital format as the world adjusted during the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Summers Game Fest, which rose from the ashes of the canceled E3 2020 show, will be returning through the summer alongside a virtual E3 showcase in June and the recently announced EA Play Live event in July.
