Voice Actor Fuels Metal Gear Solid News Hopes

Evidence is building that something related to Metal Gear Solid gaming news is happening soon, even being teased by the voice of Raiden himself.

For several years now, all Metal Gear Solid fans have had are hopes, dreams, and a ridiculous amount of rumors. As Konami de-listed the older games (though they’re working on it) a little bit ago making it nigh impossible to play the games on any modern console, fans were left with even LESS than they had before.

Recently, however, more and more credible rumors about *something* happening within the franchise at last. From remake news to even potential for a whole new game, the evidence has been piling up.

Even just a few weeks ago, before the New Year, a producer of the MGS series teased some announcements were on the near horizon. As speculation began to swirl about a potential Metal Gear ‘showcase’ of some sort, today brings yet another tease that only adds fuel to the fire…from none other than Raiden himself.

In a tweet repsonding to an earlier post about his Cameo profile, voice actor Quinton Flynn seemingly confirms that fans should be hearing about Metal Gear related stuff in just a couple weeks. I’ve included a screenshot (above) just in case it gets deleted, you can find the original tweet right here.

Obviously the post he’s responding to makes mention of Metal Gear Rising 2 (which hasn’t been rumored at all), but it sure sounds like he’s confirming some sort of Metal Gear Showcase for players to look forward to. If remakes and such are in the works, it would make sense for the primary voice actors to have some sort of awareness about it.

Let’s just keep those fingers crossed we hear something official soon!
