Ever since we highlighted this excellent Empire Strikes Back premake, I’ve been in love with these things. Whoiseyevan (his YouTube screen name) has created several of these premakes the cover Ghostbusters, Forrest Gump, and even Indiana Jones. They’re a testament to his editing abilities in that he takes clips from several different films in order to craft his own story.
They are fun to watch and his latest one gives fans just what they need. The teaser trailer they showed at Comic-Con for The Avengers did little more than make fans even more eager for the film. Sadly, until filming begins there won’t be much to give. This fun short trailer can help fill that gap and can just be a special treat for all of those who loved the comics.
It’s well put together, and strangely I really want to see a full film done up like this. If you’re curious to know what all was included in that short trailer, here’s the list he posted:
“Here’s the recipe for this trailer: Man and the Moon, Flash Gordon (Deadline at Noon), The Phantom Planet, Rocketship X-M, Star Trek (The Cage), Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, The Flying Saucer, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers, The 27th Day, Superboy, The Wasp Woman, Outer Limits (Demon with the Glass Hand, The Invisibles, Chameleon, Zzzzzz), Twilight Zone (The Monsters are Due on Maple Street), Anastasia, Underworld USA, The Amazing Colossal Man, War of the Worlds, The Avengers, Captain America, It Came From Outer Space, Invasion USA, King of the Rocketmen, Zombies of the Stratosphere, Radar Men from the Moon, Die Nibelungen (Siegfried, Kriemhild’s Revenge), The Man with Nine Lives, The Thing from Another World, Dr. Cyclops, The Marvel Superheroes (Hulk), Der grüne Bogenschütze, William Tell, Batman (Shoot a Crooked Arrow), The Eagle, The War of the Colossal Beast, The Gnome Mobile, Thunderball, The Dirty Dozen, Captain Scarlet, Fantastic Four (The Phantom of Film City), Our Man Higgins, Attack of the Puppet People, Land of the Giants (The Clones), Yilmayan Seytan, Tales of Frankenstein, Love Finds Andy Hardy, Das Rheingold, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Airport, Demetrius and the Gladiators.”
