Overall, this iteration of Madden NFL 21 is an absolute blast to play. It’s ridiculously smooth, fast, strategic, and overall fun. Certain new updates like tackling are taking some getting used to but it’s nothing that can’t be figured out. The good thing too is that EA Sports is committed to tinkering with the game throughout the season to try and make it the best possible game possible. So, by the time the next Madden game is nearing release, the current game always looks completely different from where it started.

My main problems with the game are game mode choices, not the actual gameplay itself. Just don’t try with Face of the Franchise anymore. It’s bland, boring, and one of the least fun parts of the Madden experience. Devote that time to revamping and innovating franchise mode, as there is a lot that could be done to make it an even more fun, immersive game mode.

I firmly believe that Madden fans are going to really enjoy Madden NFL 21. It takes some getting used to, but the improvements and innovations made in last year’s Madden make it a worthwhile gameplay experience. Just remember speed is key. Best of luck in your Madden season!
