The Best Movie Trailers of 2014

Movie trailers give eager audiences a chance to see what a film might be like and decide whether or not it’s something they’re interested.  It’s one of the biggest and most crucial aspects of any film’s marketing, and as the year draws to a close, I thought I’d take a look back at the best/most effective trailers released in 2014.

Extended Godzilla TV Spot Showcases Destruction & New Shots of the...

We're only a little over a month away from finally seeing Godzilla back in theaters, and Warner Bros. is starting to promote the film very hard.  While the last couple trailers have only shown fleeting (but amazing) glimpses of the monster, this new extended "Courage" TV spot brings the goods.  Come inside to check it out!  

Into the Storm Looks like Twister on Steroids

We've seen a TON of movie trailers over the last few weeks, which essentially means that I'm in hog heaven.  Today we've already seen Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in action, but New Line Cinema in association with Village Roadshow Pictures have released the first trailer for their upcoming natural disaster flick Into the Storm.  It's like Twister...but cranked up to 11.  Come inside to check out the destruction!

Jupiter Ascending’s New Trailer Paints a Gorgeous Sci-Fi Adventure

Last night, Warner Bros. dropped a brand new trailer for the Wachowski siblings' latest film, Jupiter Ascending.  While their last few films weren't huge at the box office, there's no denying the beauty of this trailer, nor the epic scope they're trying for with their new film.  Come inside to check out the newest trailer, which is oh so pretty!  

New Edge of Tomorrow Trailer Steps up the Action and Excitement

It's that wonderful time of the year, where we still have a few months before Summer Movie Season is in full swing, and studios are anxious to inform potential audiences about what's coming.  For us movie buffs, this means oodles of new trailers to drool over.  Last week, saw a ton, and we've already seen a couple this week as well (with more on the way), including Warner Bros. latest trailer for Edge of Tomorrow, which sees Tom Cruise die over and over again to help stop an alien invasion.  

First Trailer for The Giver Focuses on the Setting Instead of...

This week has brougth us a plethora of trailers already.  From the multitude yesterday, to this morning's final Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer, we've seen a lot.  Not to be left behind, The Weinstein Company has now revealed the teaser trailer for the the upcoming adaptation of the classic book, The Giver.  Rather than focusing on the characters and story that make this book so intriguing, they've instead focused on the dystopic future.  Come inside to take a gander!

Sony Reveals a Final, Action-Packed, Trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2

It's hard to believe, but we're only about a month and a half away from seeing The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in theaters.  It's almost upon us, and Sony isn't about to let anyone forget it!  Today, they've released the final trailer for the upcoming film, which re-uses some previous footage we've seen, while also offering up new looks at the villains.  Come inside to check it out!

Noah Gets a New Trailer Filled With Unseen Footage

We're only a little over a couple weeks away until Darren Aronofsky's Noah is in theaters, and to say the marketing for the film has been scant would be something of an understatement.  Case in point, the film has already premiered (to mixed reviews) and it's just now getting a second trailer.  Don't get me wrong, the new trailer is awesome and definitely worth checking out!
