E3 is just around the corner and with a lot of attention expected to be paid to the next-generation consoles, news will also be coming on something fans have been eager for. Even though they have recently acquired the Star Wars license, and told us not to expect any games before April of 2014, EA is planning on discussing their plans for the Star Wars games at this year's Entertainment Expo.
After the closing of LucasArts, many wondered what would become of the Star Wars games in general. Now some of that confusion has been cleared up as it's been announced that EA has entered into an exlcusive multi-year deal with Disney to produce Star Wars games.
[A few more details on the game have been revealed] Earlier today, EA and Maxis announced that they are currently working on the next big iteration in the popular The Sims franchise. Details are somewhat scarce right now, but the game is coming to PCs and Macs sometime in 2014.
Unfortunately, the SimCity launch debacle continues. Nearly a week after launch, there are gamers who still can't access the games they paid for and having trouble connecting. EA has been doing their best to appease the angry community, by posting frequent updates, and now they've announced they'll be issuing some free games as well.
EA has suggested the next Xbox will arrive at the same time as PS4 and both consoles will be 10 times more powerful then their predecessors.
