When I first heard of Cowboys & Aliens, I believed I was told. Because, let me remind you; it’s freaking COWBOYS AND ALIENS. Let me repeat: COWBOYS AND ALIENS! I would have accepted Cowboys! Then Daniel Craig was cast and, well I was apprehensive about what kind of accent he would do, I was even more excited. Add Harrison Ford and my excitement was through the roof!
Add a trailer and the excitement is virtually gone.
At long last, fans eagerly awaiting the trailer and an extended look at the forthcoming Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds get what they wanted...a full trailer. That's right, Warner Bros decided to throw caution to the wind and give fans a full theatrical trailer instead of a short teaser. While we got a preview of this via Entertainment Tonight a couple days ago, many expressed fears that the footage appeared to take too much of a comedic approach to it. Well put those fears to rest, as the full official trailer shows a far more serious film that looks to go beyond our expectations.
So far what we've seen from Pixar's follow-up to Cars (cleverly named Cars 2) hasn't been anything to really brag about. The teaser trailer didn't give away much information and seemed to be playing it safe. Then the teaser poster came out and it was about was pretty boring. Nothing in particular has really wowed us, or shown fans that this film can be great. However, Pixar and Disney are looking to change that with the release of an actual trailer for Cars 2...and it does a much better job.
At this point I feel almost obligated to inform you that Disney is NOT paying me to post all of this information about Tron Legacy. Seriously, as much as I do, I don't want anyone to think that's the case. The truth is, I'm just a really big nerd and can't get enough of this film. Disney has released yet another theatrical trailer for this film, and hands down this is the best one so far. While a good portion of the footage in the trailer is stuff we've seen before, the footage that is new, is absolutely stunning.
I'm going to be totally honest here, and admit that I wasn't aware Dreamworks had already put Kung Fu Panda 2: The Kaboom of Doom into production. I remember hearing some rumors and vague references to it over the past year, but nothing really solid. So imagine my surprise when I came across the brand new teaser trailer that had been released. Before you get too terribly excited, the teaser won't show you much, but I will say it was far more interesting than that Cars 2 teaser we got a couple weeks ago.
I am a huge Zack Snyder fan. I'm just going to go ahead and lay that on the table, and I know I'm not alone. Regardless of what you may think of him, he has an amazing ability to make his films look gorgeous. They truly are works of art in every frame. A lot of it has to do with the technology, but how he uses it, constantly amazes me. However, the one thing fans haven't really seen from him yet is something...original. Most of his films (and the ones that have made him most famous) are adaptations of someone else's work. With that in mind I've been eagerly following Sucker Punch, which breaks him from that mold, and allows him to tell his own story.
Very little has been shown of the film however, and the short teaser trailer we were treated to at Comic Con only prompted more questions, while visually capturing us. However, a brand new theatrical length trailer has finally been released that gives more info on the story.
After two teaser trailers and several short viral marketing video clips, fans eagerly awaiting Paranormal Activity 2 have still been left mostly in the dark about what the story for this new film is. Details on the plot have been incredibly scarce and the videos have done little but engender more questions. Finally a new trailer has just been released that simultaneously scares the poop out of you, while giving more details on the plot.
I’m sure you’ll be happy to know that Clint Eastwood is releasing a new film after his 10 month hiatus. About time, man. Thankfully, this is something we’ve never seen Clint Eastwood do before.
