Retro Games That Deserve a Reboot: Star Fox

For this entry in my 'Reboot' series of articles, I decided to pull from one of my all time favorite genres. Aside from RTS games, the flying/dogfighting genre is top on my list. I can't tell you how many hours I've wasted flying around and blasting anything that happened across my virtual cross-hairs in various games. Today I'm talking about one of the best franchises in the genre: Star Fox.

Nintendo was on hand at this year's VGX and while their announcement wasn't a brand new game as many had hoped, it's still kind of exciting for those fans of Donkey Kong Country and old-school style platformers.  On top of giving the new game, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, an official release date they also announced a brand new playable character in Cranky Kong!

Nintendo Offering Up Wii Fit U as a Free Download for...

Nintendo's second game in the workout franchise they started with the Wii is coming our way in a few months (it was originally going to be a launch game with the Wii U), and in order to celebrate, and give everyone a chance to get fit, Nintendo is letting people download it free (and early) from the eShop for a limited time.  Come inside to check out all the information!

Nintendo Gives the Wii U a Price Drop Plus a Fancy...

Nintendo Announces the Goofy Looking 2DS Coming This October

In somewhat of a surprise, Nintendo came out today to announce a new handheld system (well, a new version anyway) coming to consumers on October 12th: the 2DS...Yep, that's what it's called, and it's essentially a 2D only version of their popular 3DS handheld, and it looks a lot like a big piece of pie.  Come inside to check out all the details on this new, and much cheaper, system. 

Nintendo Plays it Safe With Their E3 Offerings

While yesterday saw the press conferences and big announcements from Sony and Microsoft, this morning brought a brand new Nintendo Direct video focusing on the new games Nintendo is bringing for the Wii U and 3DS systems.  While they did show some exciting looking games I'm looking forward to, for the most part the played it about as safe as possible with their first party titles.

Watch the First Trailer for the new Nintendo Exclusive Sonic Game

Earlier this month Nintendo announced they'd made an exclusive deal with Sega to bring the next few Sonic the Hedgehog games only to their consoles (the Wii U and 3DS).  Today sees the trailer for the first game that's part of that deal in Super Sonic Galaxy...er...I mean Sonic Lost World.
