While yesterday saw the press conferences and big announcements from Sony and Microsoft, this morning brought a brand new Nintendo Direct video focusing on the new games Nintendo is bringing for the Wii U and 3DS systems. While they did show some exciting looking games I'm looking forward to, for the most part the played it about as safe as possible with their first party titles.

Earlier this month Nintendo announced they'd made an exclusive deal with Sega to bring the next few Sonic the Hedgehog games only to their consoles (the Wii U and 3DS). Today sees the trailer for the first game that's part of that deal in Super Sonic Galaxy...er...I mean Sonic Lost World.

E3 has long been one of the largest events for the video game industry, and is typically used as a showcase for the largest game companies to show off what's coming up in the future. This year, however, Nintendo won't be doing it. They're skipping out on the big conference, but that's not as bad as it may sound.

Early this morning Nintendo held another Direct Video in which they announced the "Year of Luigi" by announcing new games for the 3DS and Wii U, including: a new Mario & Luigi RPG, sequels to the sports spin-offs, new DLC for current games. On top of that, they announced other non-Mario/Luigi related content, like Animal Crossing and Donkey Kong for the 3DS. All the details inside!
