I recently had the opportunity to sit down with a pair of actors from the just released (on blu-ray at least) Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome, in order to talk about their roles in the web-series turned TV movie and why Battlestar Galactica has so much appeal to viewers and rabid fans.
While official news on the upcoming Star Wars films has been lacking, there's been no shortage of rumors nor people attached the original films acknowledging their willingness and outright desire to come back to the high profile franchise. Everyone from prequel stars wanting another shot (or their own film) to the original actors saying they're ready to come back, there's no shortage of interest in the new films. The next person to add himself to that list is none other than composer John Williams.
As we all know Benedict Cumberbatch's role in the upcoming Star Trek sequel has been something of a mystery, one that has had fans speculating since filming first began. The evidence has been pointing in mostly one direction, and now it looks as though Entertainment Weekly has just spoiled it on their website. I won't rule out that it might be a typo...but just in case you don't want to know (though I doubt it'll be much of a spoiler) I'll tell you more about it after the jump.
Back when Star Wars Episode VII was announced, one of the first directors rumored to be helming was J.J. Abrams...who subsequently shot that speculation down. Now reports are coming in that he is now taking the director's chair.
It is a glorious time to be a nerd right now. We're getting a new Star Wars trilogy (starting in 2015), Jurassic Park 4 finally has a release date, and now word is coming in that Zack Snyder is working on ANOTHER Star Wars film that will be a standalone movie apart from the upcoming trilogy.
With The Dark Knight trilogy firmly behind him now, Christopher Nolan is free to do pretty much whatever the hell he wants to. Because of that, many have speculated on what the famous director might do next. The wishlist has been long, but now it looks like he'll be taking on a full on science fiction story...and I couldn't be more giddy.
Haven't gotten enough of Star Trek Into Darkness yet? I didn't think so, fortunately Paramount has released a slew of new high-res official images from the film for you to enjoy.
