Fans are understandably anxious to get any news on the upcoming Star Wars films, and as such have been jumping the gun when it comes to anything that remotely resembles a scoop. However, when George Lucas himself says something, people tend to listen, and he's now said that the original cast is all but set to return.
This week's News Bits, which collects the smaller news pieces and interesting articles from all over the net, features a release date change, a powerful editorial, and some other juicy nerd tid-bits.
The world of film is filled with all sorts of news that comes out on a daily basis. We do our best to report on them all, but some scoops are too small for their own article. Thus, we've got News Bits, and today sees new images from upcoming films, some trailers, vague Star Wars talk and tons more.
While official news on the upcoming Star Wars films has been lacking, there's been no shortage of rumors nor people attached the original films acknowledging their willingness and outright desire to come back to the high profile franchise. Everyone from prequel stars wanting another shot (or their own film) to the original actors saying they're ready to come back, there's no shortage of interest in the new films. Now that the new Star Wars movie has a director and a tenative release window (somewhere in 2015), it won't be too long now before we start hearing word about casting and other official goodies. Now Obsidian (the developers behind KOTOR II) have said they are lobbying heavily to develop a brand new Star Wars RPG.
Many of you know of my love for the Star Wars franchise, and I’ve talked previously about how much I thoroughly enjoy dogfight/flying simulators. So it should come as no surprise that I’m a big fan of the Rogue Squadron video games. Star Wars has spun off a number of video games (some good, some not) that fans have wanted to see return again. While this may not be the first time you’ll see the franchise pop up on my Reboot column, Rogue Squadron is pretty much top of my list for Star Wars games that need some sort of revival.
