Amazon Games announced that the closed Alpha test of their upcoming 4v4 MOBA title, March of Giants, is heading our way starting on September 2nd. The Alpha will run through September 10th.

March of Giants is the debut title from Amazon Games Montreal, a studio composed of passionate developers with deep experience in creating innovative, competitive PvP games. Led by Creative Director Xavier Marquis, and with many core team members behind the critically acclaimed Rainbow Six Siege, the studio brings their depth of expertise in disrupting genres to the MOBA space.
The game works as a classic MOBA title where players will control thousands of soldiers in a battlefield to strategize against other players. The story takes place with “early 1900s” technology, and is set in the “final epic battle of the century.” They do note that the title will have heavy military inspired moments.
The game introduces unique mechanics to the MOBA genre, including:
Play As a Giant: Dominate the frontlines as a towering war commander with unique abilities in 4v4 battles
Lead Your Soldiers: Command thousands of battle-ready soldiers to rally at your side or direct them to crush your enemies
Deploy Battleworks: Strategize, build, and outsmart opponents with tactical structures that help fight enemy Giants and defend your towers
The closed Alpha is to test core gameplay mechanics, along with technical stability tests. The first Alpha is closed to Steam users on PC, but the team promises that further tests will take place before launch.
The Alpha will let players choose from 15 giants to play as, with the main 10 character cast being available. In the final game the 10 Giants will be selectable with the other 5 being unlocked through the campaign.
