Deadpool doing Deadpool things and disrupting the entire Marvel universe in his iconic ways.
Season 6 for Marvel Rivals, titled Night at the Museum is hitting tomorrow for fans of the game. One of the biggest additions coming with it is Deadpool himself finally making his way to the game, and he’s already disrupting things more than ever.
Not only does Deadpool have his quircky iconic self in the game, but he also has dialogue that essentially breaks the fourth wall. Along with this he also makes remarks that somewhat bridge DC heroes to Marvel, such as making fun of Moon Knight for being a knock off of Batman.
But more “game breaking” aspects of him come along for the ride. Deadpool will include 3 different roles, putting him in all categories, and only one version of him is able to be on a team in QP/Ranked matches. This is creating chaos in early beta testing builds as players in Ranked are having to spend multiple votes to ban the different variations of him, instead of spending one vote to take him out entirely.
For other content this season, on January 29th new convoy map, Museum of Contemplation, will launch with a new update.
Hero proficiency is also getting an update by raising the cap for each hero with new rewards added such as Units, Unstable Molecules, Nameplates, Titles, Nameplate Frames, Badges, Dynamic Avatars, and more.
Times Square will be adding a new photo mode, and a new area called “The Clobberin’ Club.” In the club players can challenge each other to 1 on 1 duels, and the cool part of this is spending a small amount of in-game currency to get their duel broadcasted to the games Times Square screens.
Marvel Rivals Championship is also getting a slight revamp. The top faction will continue to win cash prizes, but other tiers are being made to give in-game currency to other competing factions as well. Nameplates and Sprays will also be awarded to factions who make it to Open Qualifiers and actively participate. The MRC Nameplate Emblems have also been completely redesigned to cover more rankings and will be permanently saved.
