Dying Light: The Beast Delayed By 4 Weeks

The studio announced the delay today, just a month before the official release was set.

Dying Light: The Beast was set to release in August, but the studio has announced that the game has now been pushed back by 4 weeks. The game will now release on September 19th.

The studio released a full statement on the reason why, but it boils down to them needing to make the best game possible. Dying Light 2 released to some mixed reviews, and The Beast was originally set to be a DLC expansion to the game. However the studio kept working and adding so much content that it instead turned into a full stand alone game.

We understand that this may be disappointing, but our experience has shown how important the first impression is. With just four additional weeks, we can address final details that make all the difference between good and great. Areas we want to improve include finetuning the balance of gameplay elements, looking into clarity of UI, increasing the quality of physics, as well as tweaking cutscenes and player animations further as well as adding last little details.

It appears clear the studio took fan feedback and criticism to heart, and this next iteration is looking to be fantastic!
