The original game released back in 2003, and personally is one of the scarier horror game franchises out there. If you’re not familiar, Fatal Frame takes a twist on horror by making you face the monsters that haunt you, with your only real defense being a camera. A lot more fun than running around with a gun!
Fatal Frame II focuses twin sisters when an accident happens causing one of the sisters to feel some guilt while trying to escape a haunted village. You have to use your Camera Obscura, that captured entities.
The remake enhances all the visuals of the game, updates the gameplay, and adds audio updates as well. There is also a new gameplay feature allowing players to hold hands with one sister to regain some health. Monster attacks also seem to be updated, allowing them to surprise attack after almost any action in the game, followed by quick time events to avoid them.
You can pre-order now, including the Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes the Digital Soundtrack, Digital Art Book, and Digital Deluxe Bonus Set. The bonus set contains the Deluxe Charm, Lace Gloves in white and black, and Japanese Gothic wing accessories. The base game is upgradable to deluxe after purchase as well.
