A pair of remakes for classic games were revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct showcase, giving horror and RPG fans something to look forward to!

Among the various ports and new game announcements from today’s Nintendo Direct, a pair of remakes manage to stand out for gamers/fans. One of which, might very well be one of the scariest games around. Seriously, I played Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly just a SMIDGE when it originally came out and I STILL think about how scary it was.

Twin sisters Mio and Mayu Amakura find themselves lost in a village that has vanished from the map in this revival of the Japanese horror adventure. Featuring chilling effects and atmosphere, players will control Mio, the younger twin sister, who can feel the presence of spirits. Pacify ghosts with the Camera Obscura and explore abandoned buildings shrouded in darkness, with remade exploration and combat elements. The game features a new art style that blends diorama visuals with Akira Toriyama’s iconic character designs, as well as a streamlined main story, Moonlighting system that allows two vocations to be equipped at once, and more.
