The Frostpunk series is a niche favorite within the city-building game genre, but that fanbase might be expanding soon, as its latest release, Frostpunk 2, is soon to be released on consoles! A gameplay trailer was released today that you can check out on YouTube or by clicking through right here:
The most noticeable things on display in the trailer are the new tailored UI and radial menus that can more properly accommodate the controller. Alongside these, of course, are those major decision points that this series has become so well known for: The chance to be put into the seat of power and learn to accept the consequences of your decisions. This is not the first time Frostpunk has made its way to console, as the first game was also ported to last-gen systems with updated controls, but those console-bound fans of the first who haven’t yet been able to play the second won’t have to wait much longer.
Frostpunk 2 releases on September 18th for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and will be available (as it is on PC) through the Xbox Game Pass on day 1.
