Future Games Show has been chock-full of interesting things this year, including a new story trailer from publisher NACON and developer Rogue Faction for their latest action-adventure outing Hell is Us. You can check it out on YouTube or right here if you’d prefer:
While also tantalizing with a nice tease of the gameplay, the trailer largely details the motivations of the game’s main character, Remi, and his quest to return to his birthplace of Hadea and find out what happened with his family. It seems like a fairly interesting tale with a cast of colorful characters already, and the haunting enemy designs are only a plus.
Those who want to dive even deeper into the world of Hell is Us will be happy to know that, regardless of their interest, there’s even more to be experienced. Anyone curious about the gameplay can find a demo of the game already available, at least until August 28th, but for the ones who want to sink their teeth into the game’s narrative, NACON has also released a 16-page digital comic by Stu Taylor and Andrea Scalmazzi that’s available for free on their website.
This game is definitely shaping up to be an interesting new addition to every action-adventure gamer’s collection. The puzzle solving and exploration elements are giving me a Metroidvania vibe that might just scratch the itch that Jedi Survivor left in its wake!
Hell is Us is scheduled to release on September 4, 2025 for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
