Great news this week for followers of Skybound’s first video game, Invincible VS, based on the comic and series of the same-ish name. Quarter Up, the in-house development team behind the team-based battler, has been steadily announcing and releasing trailers for new characters, and have finally shown off a fan favorite who was almost never going to be passed over for the main roster: Allen the Alien, the lovable cyclopean beefcake voiced by Seth Rogen (who does not, it seems, appear to be reprising his role in the game.) You can check out the trailer by clicking through right here:
True to his style in the series, Allen is a flying bruiser who solves his problems with direct applications of his fists, feet, and fast talking quips. Though he joins a roster full of characters, like Omni-Man and Invincible himself, that share a similar beatdown-based move set, it’s hard to deny that he does look lifted right off the screen with his combos, with his own “big man” flair that makes him stand apart. Quarter Up seemed to anticipate this criticism as well, setting him up in a team alongside both of those aforementioned Viltrumites to show off the differences in their style. The lack of Seth Rogen’s VA is unfortunate but the current voice actor does a fine job with his own interpretation.
Anyone who can’t get enough Invincible VS will also be happy to know that, come April, there will be an open beta for everyone to try! The beta will be available starting April 9 for Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5.
For everyone else, Invincible VS will release in full later that month on April 30, 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, and PC.
