Never one to keep players waiting long, Capcom has already released a free update for the latest in their zombie survival smash hit series, Resident Evil: Requiem. That so-called survival is apparently far from the focus now, though, if the new game mode’s title is anything to believe. Check out the snappy little trailer for this new mode, Leon Must Die Forever, right here:
This mode, which is unlocked after players complete the main story, hearkens back to the original days of Resident Evil 4 and the action-packed nature of Secret Service Agent Leon Kennedy in all his roundhouse-kicking glory. Here, the name of the game seems to be combat, shooting and fighting your way through areas with randomized progression to hone your skills in new ways each time. It’s rarely a Resident Evil game without some sort of bonus game mode, and as a long-standing fan of the Mercenaries game modes, this is sure to be one I’m spending lots of time with too.
Luckily, I won’t even have to wait, as this game mode is live now with the latest update. Have fun dying forever!
