They said it couldn’t be done! But it is happening, we can finally play MGS4 again.
During Sony’s State Of Play Konami announced the next Metal Gear collection that will include Metal Gear Solid 4. Currently the game is only playable on PS3 due to the archetecture needs of the game making it nearly impossible to move to other platforms. Even emulators on PC have struggled to properly do it. But now it will be coming to new platforms.
This collection picks up where the 2023’s METAL GEAR SOLID: Master Collection Vol 1 left off by re-introducing two must-play titles that further the stories of Solid Snake and Big Boss. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, makes its first port since its original 2008 release, alongside Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker with up to six-player online gameplay, and series spin-off Metal Gear: Ghost Babel as bonus content.
Additionally, the collection packs a Screenplay Book containing in-game text from the two premier titles, a Master Book detailing the story and characters, a Digital Soundtrack, and a Database covering the vast lore from Metal Gear to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.
