During a special Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri event held over the weekend, Bandai Namco revealed a brand new Dragon Ball game focused on all new characters.
On top of giving eager Dragon Ball fans details on the next chapter of Dragon Ball Super, fans got their first look at Project AGE 1000. The new game has been in the works for several years already and puts the focus on all new characters who were created by Akira Toriyama himself before passing.
The world of DRAGON BALL continues to expand with a brand-new DRAGON BALL world and its entirely original characters— all brought to life by Akira Toriyama. Set for 2027, the “AGE 1000” project will introduce even more unique characters as the adventure unfolds. In a reveal trailer, fans can witness the debut of a never-before-seen character—designed by Akira Toriyama himself—within the new DRAGON BALL world, “AGE 1000.”
I’m VERY interested to see how this one pans out. I love it when the games expand on Dragon Ball in general and offer something more than replaying iconic battles. This could be a whole lot of fun.
Dragon Ball Game Project “AGE 1000” is set to arrive at some point in 2027. Thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer to learn more about the game as they’ve promised updates to come during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, which will be held in Los Angeles, California on April 18-19, 2026.
