Sega is still rocking the Virtua Fighter revival, having just launched another new trailer with another big new announcement for their latest release, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, in that it is now coming to the Nintendo Switch 2! Check out the new trailer showcasing this great news here:
Fighting games have always been fantastic on the go, and the Switch 2’s full-size grips and button layouts are fairly well-suited to casual play, at the very least. For those who are ready to put their skills to the test, this release is not just some kind of distant port: the Switch 2 version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will be a fully featured release, including cross-play capability with every other version of the game, so you can take on the sweats with leverless controllers if you so choose!
Pre-orders are available now, but those handheld gamers who can’t wait are encouraged to participate in the Switch 2 Open Beta during the weekend of February 18 to February 22.
For those who are willing to wait, though, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage is scheduled to launch on the Switch 2 on March 26, 2026.
