For every majorly known game design studio, like Epic or Blizzard, there are the studios that stalk at the edges of popularity, gaining their fame by virtue of distinct vision over mass appeal. Something bigger than an indie studio, but never quite rising to what would be called “AAA” development. There’s almost no better a fit for this type of studio than Grasshopper Manufacture, developer of cult classic oddities like Killer7, Lollipop Chainsaw, and now, their latest offering, Romeo is a Dead Man. Though the game has been announced previously, GM has just released a handy introductory video that should set the record straight on just what all is going on in the game:
So that clears everything up, right? If not, don’t be too alarmed, this is a Suda51 game, after all, which means it’s bound to have a wild mix of classic game and/or media elements mixed in with some all-new, mind melting weirdness. When it comes to Suda and Grasshopper Manufacture, the best thing to do is just take it all in and make what you will of it afterward.
Romeo is a Dead Man will release on February 11, 2026, for Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Don’t forget to equip your Bastards!
