Microsoft and Xbox have announced the exciting return of their annual Xbox Showcase and FanFest event, scheduled for June 7th of this year, promising fans a day full of reveals, exclusive previews, and community celebrations.
It has also been revealed that a Gears of War Direct Showcase will follow the event with a deep-dive into the gameplay! Though I am very excited to see more on this game, it will also be the 25th anniversary of the Xbox!
With that, I am sure we will hopefully see some amazing reveals, and hear more from news from newly appointed Head of Xbox Asha Sharma. Asha Sharma has already made comments about Xbox returning to its OG form and bring Exclusives back, making GamePass Cheaper, and more!

I am very excited to see what Xbox has to offer for the world to see. Though I am excited I am still worried for the Xbox brand. Where will this shake up take the company? Will this years Showcase bring hope back to fans? I don’t know yet, but we will be at Summer Game Fest 2026 in person, so when we know. . .so will you!
