Alex Garland to Direct Live-Action ‘Elden Ring’ Movie for A24

The rumored Elden Ring movie adaptation is real and it now has a director.

Earlier today A24 confirmed that Alex Garland is both writing and directing a live-action adaptation of Elden Ring for the studio. Peter Rice is set to produce alongside Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, as well as George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis.

Originally released in February 2022, Elden Ring is based on a story written by George R.R. Martin, better known as the author of A Song of Ice and Fire.

Alex Garland’s past works include Warfare, Ex Machina, Annihilation, Men, and Civil War.

There’s no timeline as yet as to when the Elden Ring film adaptation will enter production.
