George A. Romero’s Zombie Classic Gets an Animated Adaptation

Warner Bros. is bringing its home entertainment animation talents to one of the most iconic zombie films around, Romero’s Night of the Living Dead.

If you love zombie movies and Warner Bros. animated films, then you’ll be happy to hear about their upcoming adaptation. The Hollywood Reporter dropped the news on Night of the Animated Dead, which will be a remake/adaptation of the George A. Romero’s original film, Night of the Living Dead.

The new take on the film is directed by Jason Axinn and brings together a pretty solid voice cast:

Josh Duhamel is Harry Cooper

Katee Sackhoff is Judy

Dule Hill is Ben

Katharine Isabelle is Barbara

James Roday Rodriguez is Tom

Will Sasso is Sheriff McClelland

Jimmi Simpson is Johnny

Nancy Travis is Helen Cooper

While details on the film are still light at this point, the Blu-Ray/4K UHD is expected to launch this Fall (probably in time for Halloween). Either way, it’s an exciting time for Romero/zombie fans and I can’t wait for our first look at this one.
