The drip feed of information for the latest Spielberg-helmed summer blockbuster-to-be, Disclosure Day, just keeps on dropping, and boy does it catch the attention. First off, there was the huge new trailer dropped during the Big Game, and that’s worth a watch all on its own. Where the first trailer dwelled in the mystery and the soft suspense of what was to come, this trailer comes at you hard and fast. It’s just as thrilling and suspenseful as the first, but in a more action-packed way that hints towards the stakes involved in the plot at large. It’s a short, sweet little tease for what could end up the movie event of the summer.
If you haven’t had enough disclosed to you yet, however, strap in and hang on, because there’s more! A whole minute more, in fact, including some footage that you’ve already seen, but this time, it’s overlaid with commentary from the legendary director himself, Steven Spielberg:
By all rights, this movie is setting itself up to be one of the bigger summer movie events we’ve seen since the Summer of Barbenheimer. With the usual deluge of superhero tentpoles not filling the space this year, it could be high time to return to a classic, Spielberg led science fiction romp. I know I’m ready.
Disclosure Day releases to theaters only on June 12, 2026. It is directed by Steven Spielberg and written by Daniel Koepp, and stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth and Colman Domingo.
