The legendary director and film icon Steven Spielberg truly needs no introduction. His work in the industry stands on its own across multiple genres, but with titles like Jurassic Park, A.I: Artificial Intelligence, and Minority Report under his belt, one could argue that some of his best work comes out from science fiction. While the less said about his last sci-fi flick, the better, we’ve just been treated with a new teaser for an all-new film, Disclosure Day, that absolutely looks like it’s here to blow us away. You can check out the trailer here:
There’s a whole lot going on here, and not a whole lot fully explained, just like a good teaser trailer ought to. From the strange phenomenon with the weather lady to the animals, we’re left to wonder just what, exactly, all this means, but everything all points to one, singular central question:
What does it mean for us when we find out that we’re not alone?
With a script penned by longtime Spielberg collaborator David Koepp, who also worked on War of the Worlds, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and multiple Jurassic Park films, based on an original story by Spielberg himself, we’re already looking at solid bones for a fascinating new take on first contact. Though more trailers are sure to arrive in the days to come, this one might be worth going radio silent on if you’ve already made up your mind on going to see it.
Disclosure Day is set for theatrical release on June 12, 2026, and stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Eve Hewson and Colman Domingo.
