An eerie new trailer for A24’s Backrooms movie has arrived, teasing a tense thriller that might lead you to madness.
Where the first teaser for Kane Parson’s Backrooms was all about setting the tone/establishing the creepy vibes, the new trailer gives us a bit more on the overall story we’ll be sucked into. But don’t worry, there’s more than enough anxiety to go around.
Yeah, this is a pretty fantastic trailer. Even when nothing overtly scary is going on, there’s an ever pervasive sense of unease and fear. Considering they haven’t even shown the “Lifeform” that is apart of the YouTube series, it’s impressive how terrifying they’ve managed to make this trailer. I also really love how the story looks to incorporate that found footage/analog element that helped the original shorts catch fire.
Combine that with some chilling dialog from the stacked cast, and this looks like it’s going to be a blast.
