First Trailer for Guy Ritchie’s The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare Has Arrived

Feel the need to enjoy watching muscly men Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson gleefully mow down Nazis? Then The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare trailer is here for you.

This morning brings the first look at Guy Ritchie’s next action flick, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Based on the true story of Churchill’s secret warriors which ultimately gave birth to modern black-ops, there’s plenty of shooting and explosions to go around.

Generally speaking, I’m pretty thrilled to see the old-school style of action flicks making a comeback. The Beekeeper was very much in this vein, and if anyone knows how to keep the trend going, it’s Guy Ritchie. Plus, I’m always down for seeing Nazis get the shit kicked out of them, and Cavill looks like he’s having a blast.

Based upon recently declassified files of the British War Department and inspired by true events, THE MINISTRY OF UNGENTLEMANLY WARFARE is an action-comedy that tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare hits theaters on April 19, 2024.
